The Bite Back Novena Candle is a conjured ritual candle for protection, revenge, justice, and spiritual retaliation. Each candle is powered with our original Bite Back Conjure Oil, carrying the same working from the Bloody Summer Collection into a traditional novena-style candle designed for sustained ritual work.

Bite Back was created for the moment passive protection is no longer enough.

This working is intended for circumstances involving deliberate betrayal, slander, malicious gossip, targeting, mistreatment, interference, hostility, or people who knowingly attempt to cause harm. Its purpose is twofold: protect the petitioner from what has been directed toward them and petition for consequences against the source of that harm.

This is protection with teeth.

Rather than continually absorbing another person’s hostility, Bite Back represents the establishment of a boundary backed by consequence. It can be incorporated into workings for enemy protection, justice, reversal, retaliation, exposure, or situations in which you believe someone has intentionally attempted to interfere with your peace, reputation, relationships, success, or well-being.

Each novena candle is prepared with Bite Back Conjure Oil from our Bloody Summer Collection, connecting the candle to the established Bite Back working. Also dressed and conjured by rose and her mom.

The oil and candle are prepared as complementary forms of the same spiritual intention: protection from malicious action paired with a petition for justice and spiritual retaliation against what has been deliberately sent your way.

For those who already work with Bite Back Conjure Oil, the novena candle can be incorporated alongside the oil as part of a larger working.

Write a petition describing the situation, the protection you are requesting, and the justice or spiritual consequence you are petitioning for. The petition may be placed beneath or beside the novena candle only when doing so can be done safely and without placing combustible material near the flame.

The candle may be burned alongside prayer, Psalms, protective work, or other spiritual practices appropriate to your personal tradition.

Bite Back is intended exclusively for symbolic, religious, and spiritual ritual practice. It is not an instruction or encouragement to physically harm, threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully retaliate against another person.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Burn only on a stable, level, heat-resistant and fire-resistant surface. Keep the candle away from drafts and maintain substantial clearance from curtains, bedding, paper, petitions, books, herbs, oils, dried botanicals, altar cloths, decorations, furniture, and all other combustible materials.

Keep the candle within sight whenever it is burning. Never burn while sleeping or when leaving the room or home. Keep away from children and pets.

The candle vessel may become extremely hot during use. Do not touch, move, or handle the candle while lit or while the wax or container remains hot.

Discontinue use if the vessel becomes cracked, chipped, damaged, excessively hot, or otherwise appears unsafe.

Do not add additional oil, herbs, powders, paper, alcohol, crystals, matches, fragrance, or other materials to the candle or melted wax. Although Bite Back is professionally prepared with its corresponding conjure oil as part of our production process, customers should not attempt to recreate this process or add additional materials while burning. Doing so may increase flame height, create unpredictable burning conditions, or increase the risk of fire or container failure.

Our handcrafted ritual products may contain fragrance, botanical, oil, or other aromatic components capable of causing sensitivities or allergic reactions in some individuals. Individuals with known fragrance sensitivities, allergies, asthma, respiratory sensitivities, or concerns regarding particular ingredients should exercise appropriate caution.
