Originally introduced as part of our Bloody Summer Collection, Bite Back is now available as a conjured votive candle: a smaller-format working carrying the same protective and retaliatory intention as the original Bite Back Conjure Oil.

Bite Back was created for the moment passive protection is no longer enough.

This working is intended for circumstances involving deliberate betrayal, slander, malicious gossip, targeting, mistreatment, interference, hostility, or the intentional disruption of your peace. Bite Back combines two intentions within one working: protection for the petitioner and a petition for justice and spiritual retaliation against what has been deliberately directed toward them.

This is protection with teeth.

Rather than continually absorbing hostility or remaining spiritually defensive, Bite Back represents a boundary backed by consequence. It may be incorporated into workings surrounding enemies, gossip, betrayal, justice, reversal, retaliation, or protection from malicious intentions.

Each votive is ritually prepared and powered with our original Bite Back Conjure Oil from the Bloody Summer Collection.

The candle and oil carry the same core working: protecting what is yours while petitioning for justice when another person has deliberately attempted to cause harm.

For those who already own Bite Back Conjure Oil, the votive can be worked alongside it as part of a larger ritual or used independently when a shorter candle working is preferred.

Place your votive in an appropriately sized, heat-resistant votive holder before lighting. Votive candles are designed to liquefy as they burn and must not be burned freestanding.

A written petition may be placed safely beneath the holder or elsewhere on the altar where it cannot come into contact with the flame, hot wax, or heat.

Bite Back may be accompanied by prayer, Psalms, petitions, protection work, or other practices appropriate to your personal tradition.

Bite Back is intended exclusively for symbolic, religious, and spiritual ritual practice. It is not an instruction or encouragement to physically harm, threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully retaliate against another person.

Never burn a votive candle without an appropriate votive holder. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Always place the votive inside a properly sized, heat-resistant candle holder on a stable, level, fire-resistant surface. Votive candles liquefy during burning and may create a significant amount of melted wax.

Keep the candle within sight at all times while burning. Never burn while sleeping or when leaving the room or home. Keep away from children and pets.

Keep the candle away from drafts, curtains, bedding, paper, petitions, books, herbs, oils, dried botanicals, altar cloths, decorations, furniture, and all other combustible materials.

The candle holder and melted wax may become extremely hot. Do not touch, move, or handle the candle or holder while burning or until completely cooled.

Do not add additional conjure oil, fragrance oil, herbs, powders, paper, alcohol, crystals, matches, or other materials to the candle or melted wax. Bite Back is prepared with its corresponding conjure oil during our production process; customers should not add additional materials before or during burning.

Discontinue use if the candle holder becomes cracked, damaged, excessively hot, or otherwise appears unsafe.

Our handcrafted ritual products may contain fragrance, botanical, oil, or other aromatic components capable of causing sensitivities or allergic reactions in some individuals. Those with allergies, fragrance sensitivities, asthma, respiratory sensitivities, or concerns regarding particular ingredients should use appropriate caution.
