Borrowed Skin is a conjured protection oil created around the preservation of identity, personal boundaries, and energetic privacy.

This working was inspired by the unsettling experience of encountering people who do not simply admire you, but begin attempting to occupy your identity—mirroring your presentation, studying your movements, fixating on your life, adopting pieces of your work, or behaving as though proximity to you entitles them to access.

Borrowed Skin is designed as a symbolic and spiritual boundary between inspiration and intrusion.

Its purpose is protective rather than retaliatory: to reinforce the boundary around your identity, creative work, personal presence, and spiritual life while limiting unwanted energetic access from people whose attention feels invasive, obsessive, competitive, or consuming.

Rather than focusing on controlling another person, the working centers the practitioner: you remain inaccessible to what has not been invited in.

Borrowed Skin may be incorporated into protection work surrounding social media, creative careers, public-facing work, business ownership, interpersonal boundaries, or periods when you feel particularly observed or exposed.

Suggested Uses

After patch testing, a small amount may be applied to ritual tools, protection candles, petition papers, personal objects, doorways, journals, or pulse points as appropriate. It may also be incorporated into existing protection, boundary, or privacy workings.

Each batch is handmade and ritually prepared in small quantities by Rose’s Folk Cabinet. Because of the nature of our process, batches are intentionally limited and may sell out between restocks.

Consecration & Fulfillment

Our oils undergo an intentional preparation and consecration process. Please allow approximately 4–8 weeks for this process before shipment unless otherwise stated for the specific release.

Do not use on broken, irritated, damaged, or highly sensitive skin. Avoid the eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, and other sensitive areas. Wash hands after handling when appropriate.

Customers are responsible for determining whether the product and its ingredients are appropriate for their individual circumstances.

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest. Store appropriately and away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and open flame. Oils may stain fabric, furniture, paper, altar cloths, or other porous surfaces.
