Midnight Seance Conjure Oil: LIMITED

MIDNIGHT SÉANCE

For Those Who Speak Beyond the Veil.

Limited-Edition Halloween Collection | Roses Folk Cabinet

“The dead are not always silent. Sometimes, we have simply forgotten how to listen.”

There is something profoundly intimate about the act of reaching beyond the boundaries of the living world.

Throughout history, humanity has sought communion with those who have passed beyond it. From ancestral rites and funerary traditions to candlelit séances and spiritualist gatherings, the desire to communicate with the dead has persisted across cultures, centuries, and religious traditions.

Midnight Séance is a limited-edition conjure oil created specifically for spirit communication, ancestral connection, mediumship, and workings intended to facilitate contact with the departed.

Inspired by the haunting atmosphere of nineteenth-century spiritualism, Victorian mourning traditions, and the enduring practice of honoring and communicating with the dead, Midnight Séance embodies the mystery of what may exist beyond the threshold of mortality.

This is an oil for the candlelit table, the ancestral altar, the whispered petition, and the quiet hours when the living seek an audience with those who came before them.

THE CONJURING

Midnight Séance is formulated and spiritually worked with the intention of supporting communication between the living and the spirit world while incorporating dedicated spiritual protection workings intended to safeguard the practitioner throughout the experience.

Its conjuring is specifically directed toward facilitating spirit contact, strengthening ancestral connections, encouraging spiritual receptivity, and supporting divinatory practices intended to receive messages from the departed.

Recognizing the importance of discernment and spiritual boundaries within spirit communication practices, Midnight Séance also contains an additional layer of protective conjuring.

This protective working is intended to establish spiritual boundaries, discourage unwanted spiritual interference, and support communication with only those spirits the practitioner intentionally seeks to engage.

Unlike general-purpose divination oils, Midnight Séance is specifically concerned with communication with the dead, spiritual receptivity, and the maintenance of protective boundaries during those encounters.

Its spiritual intentions include:

✦ Spirit Communication: Supporting ritual practices intended to establish communication with departed individuals and spiritual presences.

✦ Ancestral Connection: Strengthening devotional and spiritual practices centered on honoring, remembering, and communicating with deceased ancestors.

✦ Séance Work: Anointing ritual tools and petitions used during structured séances, spirit circles, and other forms of intentional spirit communication.

✦ Mediumship & Spiritual Receptivity: Supporting practices intended to cultivate awareness, intuitive impressions, and receptivity during spirit communication.

✦ Spiritual Protection: Incorporating protective conjuring intended to safeguard the practitioner during spirit communication and discourage unwanted spiritual influences.

✦ Spiritual Boundaries & Discernment: Supporting intentional communication while reinforcing boundaries against unsolicited spiritual contact or interference.

✦ Dream Communication: Incorporating the oil into rituals and petitions requesting meaningful dreams or symbolic encounters with departed loved ones.

✦ Necromantic Divination: Supporting traditional divinatory workings specifically concerned with seeking information or guidance from the dead.

✦ Remembrance & Communion: Creating a dedicated ritual atmosphere for honoring deceased loved ones and maintaining meaningful ancestral relationships.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF MIDNIGHT SÉANCE

Death has never entirely severed humanity’s relationship with its ancestors.

Across generations, the departed have remained present in family stories, inherited customs, memorial practices, religious observances, and the intimate rituals through which the living preserve their memory.

The Victorian spiritualist movement gave particular prominence to the séance as a structured gathering intended to facilitate communication with the dead. Yet the human desire to maintain relationships with departed loved ones extends far beyond nineteenth-century spiritualism.

Midnight Séance draws inspiration from this long and complicated history of mourning, remembrance, and spiritual inquiry.

Within the spiritual traditions that inform this oil, death is approached not simply as an ending, but as a threshold around which questions of memory, ancestry, and spiritual continuity emerge.

An essential aspect of this preparation is the understanding that spiritual communication should be approached with intention, discernment, and appropriate boundaries.

For this reason, Midnight Séance has been worked for both spirit communication and spiritual protection, bringing these intentions together within a single formula.

Its purpose is not indiscriminate spiritual contact, but intentional communion supported by protective spiritual work.

SUGGESTED USES

Midnight Séance may be incorporated into spiritual and ritual practices focused on spirit communication, ancestral devotion, and communion with the departed.

Séance Work: Anoint appropriate ritual objects, candles, or petitions before gatherings intended to facilitate spirit communication.

Ancestral Altars: Use to dress altar objects or petitions dedicated to deceased family members and ancestral spirits.

Spirit Communication Rituals: Incorporate into workings involving intentional communication with the departed, including practices using spirit boards, pendulums, or other divinatory tools.

Protective Spirit Communication: Incorporate into rituals where establishing spiritual boundaries and discouraging unwanted spiritual interference are important aspects of the working.

Dream Petitions: Anoint a written petition requesting a meaningful dream encounter or symbolic communication with a departed loved one. Place the petition in a designated ritual space rather than applying oil to bedding.

Divination: Use to anoint appropriate tools or ritual objects during divination specifically directed toward ancestral guidance or communication with the dead.

Memorial Practices: Incorporate into remembrance rituals, anniversary observances, and personal devotional practices honoring deceased loved ones.

While protective conjuring has been incorporated into this formula, practitioners are encouraged to maintain any additional protective, cleansing, or spiritual boundary practices consistent with their individual traditions.

A NOTE FROM ROSE

There is something particularly haunting about the realization that the people who came before us continue to influence our lives long after their deaths.

Their names survive in family records. Their faces remain in photographs. Their stories are carried through generations, sometimes long after the details of their lives have been forgotten.

And within many spiritual traditions, the relationship between the living and the departed extends beyond remembrance alone.

I created Midnight Séance for those who feel called to explore that relationship through intentional spiritual practice.

However, I also believe that spiritual communication should never be approached without consideration for protection and discernment.

For this reason, I incorporated dedicated protective workings into Midnight Séance alongside its spirit communication conjuring. My intention was to create a formula that supports receptivity while simultaneously reinforcing spiritual boundaries.

There is a particular atmosphere I wanted this oil to embody: a darkened room, the flicker of candlelight, old photographs, whispered names, and the anticipation of reaching toward something that cannot be seen.

Midnight Séance is my interpretation of that experience, formulated for the rituals and traditions through which practitioners seek communion with the dead.

Some conversations are not meant to end at the grave.
